It all starts with a mission. Our simulation babies are crafted not only to look real, but to feel real. They’re anatomically weighted, soft to the touch, and carefully designed to reflect the size, shape, and subtle features of a newborn. This realism is what makes them so effective for hands-on education and safe sleep demonstrations.
To bring this vision to life, we’ve partnered with Roembke Mfg. & Design, a world-class mold maker located in Ossian, Indiana. With over 45 years of expertise in advanced silicone mold design, Roembke’s skilled team was key to developing the high-quality infant models we use in our kits today.
From the very beginning, Roembke Mfg. & Design partnered with us to develop a custom, high-performance mold, precisely engineered to reflect the size, shape, and feel of a real newborn. Created from an initial 3D scan and detailed specifications, this mold laid the foundation for every Safe Sleep Simulation baby we produce today.
Roembke’s team uses medical-grade silicone and a sophisticated injection process to bring each baby to life. The full production timeline, from design to final inspection, typically spans 6 to 8 weeks per batch.
What emerges isn’t just a simulation model; it’s a powerful teaching tool that resonates with
audiences and often transforms how people think about infant sleep safety. These babies don’t go to cribs, they go to hospitals, classrooms, public events, and training sessions across Indiana and beyond.
